Family-Owned and Operated 

Mark Kaminski and Laura O’Brien Kaminski founded Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home in the Justice area in 1997. It started with the simple desire to offer families a more personalized family-focused service. They began with the mission of making every family feel like their own.

 

Personalized compassionate service has and will remain their focus. Never salesmanship or grandstanding, they serve with humility and grace to honor the vocation they have chosen. As they grew and offered families location and service options, it has always been with the desire to meet family needs and to continue to make the grieving process as easy and comforting as possible. As they grow, the commitment to honor these basic tenants of family focus service and uncompromising value is always at the heart of every decision.

 

Presence in the Belmont-Cragin Neighborhood of Chicago

In 2007 the Kaminski family expanded to include the Sheldon-Goglin Funeral Home in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago. It was renamed Sheldon-Goglin-Kaminski Funeral Home. This funeral home is rich in history since it was founded in 1898.

 

We are proud to continue the legacy and history of one of Chicago’s oldest and finest funeral homes. This facility allows families to have services where it is most convenient.

 

Crematorium In-Site: Your Loved One Never Leaves Our Care

That year they also saw a need from families to provide a more precise, more transparent cremation service process. They added their crematorium in Justice to give families peace of mind knowing their loved one was always under their care. A clear fine facility that remains a standard of excellence and service.

 

 

Pet Services in Chicago

Our Pet Funeral Services in Chicagoland: Affordable Private Cremation

 

As they have built trust and confidence within the families they serve and the communities they support, it was necessary to offer more chapel space. In 2013 they expanded the Justice location with updating and remodeling. That year they also responded to families asking if they could help with the cremation of their pets. They added a facility to their Justice location solely dedicated to servicing pets.

 

Cherished Pets Remembered Pet Crematorium offered them the ability to serve every family member. They listened to the needs of their families when they said they wanted transparency and assurance that the ashes received were those of their pet and only their pet. They decided only to offer private pet cremation and serve only the pet owner.
