Lillian Stricker, nee Noga, passed away on Sunday, March 10th, 2019 at the age of 90. She will lovingly be remembered by her granddaughters Kate & Sarah and their husbands Mike 1 & Mike 2. Her great grandchildren Blake (her buddy), Logan (freckles), Charlie & Madison (Amanda). Her loving nieces Diane, Boots & Cheryl. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Norman and her son, Michael.
Lillian saw the humor in everything. In her younger days she set a blaze to the roller rinks with her hot pants and skates in tow which surely caught the attention of her Norman. They soon married and began their wonderful journey together. They’re favorite hobby was selling at flea markets and then gradually giving gifts from their basement full of junk that in turn gave us basements full of junk. She made a mean highball that she would never drink herself because it was too strong. No matter what her appetite was she would never ever turn down a nice slice of coffee cake. She had the unbelievable knack of offering food and drinks all while telling you to just go home. She was also the last person on this entire earth that still watched endless hours of Columbo reruns, which will most likely be cancelled now due to losing its final viewer. Lillian was a kind hearted loving person who showed her grandchildren and great grandchildren what a loving family really is. She peacefully left this world the way she wanted to. With family at her side laughing & holding her hands and telling stories of how much of a great person she truly was. Her beautiful personality and ability to make us smile and laugh will echo through the lives of the the ones she has touched the most. Her and Norm were an inspiration to us and will be dearly missed. Lillian’s final great accomplishment was teaching me how to spell the word ‘obituaries’ by having me do this write up.
Thank you for everything, Lil.
