Christine M. Hitney, nee Roberts, Age 55, passed away on October 22, 2019. Retired 26 year veteran Sergeant of Chicago Police Department 9th District.

Beloved wife of Kevin Hitney. Loving mom of Amber (Anthony) Amarino and Alex Hitney. Cherished daughter of Leo and the late Marilyn (nee Bonthron) Roberts. Dear sister of Wendy Roberts, Laura (Ron) Czajka and Marcia Roberts. Loving daughter-in-law of Ed and Dee Hitney and Darlene Klecka. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation, Friday, October 25, 2019, 3:00PM to 9:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.

Funeral, Friday, October 25, 2019, 7:00PM Service and Time of Remembrance to be held at the funeral home. Cremation Rites to be accorded.

In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation are much appreciated.

I am deeply sadden by the news of Chris’s passing. A very good heart has stopped beating, a good soul has ascended to heaven. Kevin, you and your family are in my heart and mind. I pray God will give you all peace. Take comfort in knowing that Chris was a blessing to all who knew her. This is a tremendous loss for all of us. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and may my friend Chris rest in eternal peace. I will continue to pray for your family.

Kevin and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Chris was such a sweet and friendly person. We will miss seeing her in the neighborhood and at the family fests. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Chris was a truly beautiful soul. I was honored to work for her in the old 009th District. She truly loved her family and always took care of her officers. She was a true leader in CPD. My prayers for Kevin and the family.
